The current demand far exceeds the number of available courts. Players often wait 20–40 minutes just to get a game in, especially at Emma McCarthy Lee Park, the only pickleball-specific public courts in town.

We are a grassroots movement of local players, families, and students who are working to expand access to pickleball through community events, public engagement, and future facility development.

This summer, we’re hosting fun pop-up events throughout Ames. They’re open to everyone. We’ll have food trucks, giveaways, tournaments, and more!

Not yet. We are connecting with local business and city leaders, and we are excited for the potential of partnering with the City!

This is one of our long-term goals! All of our events this summer and fall will be outdoors, these events are designed to demonstrate the need for indoor space!
